Medieval Chivalry as a System

Open vs Closed systems
I believe medieval chivalry can be an open system that adapts to its community to increase the reputation of chivalry.

Interdependence
If a part of chivalry is changed, it will change what the knights will become. Knights interacts between all of the elements because all of them creates chivalry.

Hierarchy
The knight training have a form of hierarchy where it is a progress from being a page to becoming a knight.

Self Regulation, Control and Homeostasis
The rules of chivalry are righteousness, courting the ladies, and serving the king. All of these regulates how the knights should be to keep order in the community.

Interchange with Environment
The idea of chivalry gives a way for a knight to act on the community and in turn the community reacts to the knight.

Interface
Medieval chivalry has specific categories that separate the different functions that create it such as Heraldry functions different from Chivalric Orders.

Balance
Most of the elements within the structure of medieval chivalry creates meaning for knighthood to exist to give it status and reputation.

Change and Adaptability
The idea of chivalry can be changed according to the era and it's community.
